Google Adwords Redesign to be Unveiled in May
Google have announced that they will live streaming a demo of the brand new, re-designed Adwords interface on 24th of May 12pm EST (4pm for us in the UK).
The revamp was first announced back in March, and was conceived as a way to make the platform’s interface more up to date, combining and integrating all of the many features that have been added in the 15 years since it was first introduced.
This is the first major redesign of the Adwords interface and promises a much more cohesive user experience, with a particular focus on integrating functionality for multiple devices.
Last week, Google tweeted from their Adwords account with a further teaser of what the new interface will look like, along with a link to register for the live stream of Google’s annual Performance Summit, where the redesigned platform will be demoed.

A particular focus for the entire event, as well as for the new Adwords platform, will be on innovations that apply to the use of mobile devices.
“We live in exciting times when technology seems to upend everything as we know, every few years” said Google’s senior VP of ads and commerce Sridhar Ramaswamy, “and nothing has changed consumer behaviour and business innovation as much as the mobile phone.”
Ramaswamy went on to say that he had spent much of the last year visiting ads and analytics customers, hearing their requests, and using what they said to form plans based on better multi-device integration generally, and specifically improving the adwords platform for targeting mobile users.
